On WKCR-FM radio in New York City,
David Petersam, president of AdmissionsConsultants,
commented on the future of the SAT as a college
admissions screening tool. A New York state senator
has subpoenaed executives of the non-profit College
Board, which owns the SAT, for answers on the testing organization's response to a technical glitch
that resulted in incorrect scores for test-takers and forced
colleges to reopen the admissions process. WKCR
Radio is operated by New York's Columbia University.
Petersam noted that SAT scores are not the sole factor in college admissions, and that a college candidate's academic record bears far more influence than test scores.
