Georgetown University yielded 1,585 commitments from 3,206 admission offers for the Class of 2023. This resulted in a 49.4% yield. It is also a bit below last year’s 51% yield. As a result, the school will be turning to its wait list to fill out its planned class size of 1,650 students.
The wait list projection breaks down accordingly. The College should admit about 40 to 50 students off the wait list. However, the School of Foreign Service, the McDonough School of Business and the School of Nursing and Health Studies should each admit only 5 to 10 students off the wait list.
Don’t expect to see Georgetown grow its incoming class anytime soon. The university has a 20-year agreement with the local community that caps undergrad enrollment at 6,675.
