Harvard admitted 1,937 Applicants from a pool of 54,008. This produced an acceptance rate of 3.6% for the current year. Applications did continue their downward trend at the elite Ivy League school. There is speculation that this could be a combination of fewer minority students applying in the wake of the Supreme Court decision against affirmative action. The downward trend could also be exacerbated by a decline in the number of Jewish applicants in the wake of the antisemitic charges Harvard faced in the wake of the October 7 attack against Israel. Finally, we would not be surprised if more conservative applicants are deciding against applying to Harvard after the disastrous congressional testimony of the now former president Claudine Gay.
Congratulations to all the admitted students at Harvard this year.
