In Admissions Statistics

Middlebury College received a record 9,750 applications for its Class of 2023. Additionally, the school also received a record number of applications from students of color. Two regions drove the 5.6% growth in applicants. Firstly, there was a 16% increase in applicants from the South. Secondly, there was a 10% increase in applicants from the West.

Middlebury is looking to admit about 700 students next year. Roughly 625 will be admitted in the fall with the remainder enrolling in the spring. Unless the college sees some reason to believe its yield will drop, we foresee a more competitive and selective admission season. We will go on record and predict this year’s acceptance rate will drop to about 16.5%.
