Earlier today, the University of Virginia announced it was adding an early decision option for applicants beginning this fall. The application deadline will be October 15 and the notification deadline will be December 15. Furthermore, if you submit your financial aid application by November 15, you will receive your financial aid awards by the same December 15 notification date.
Please note that UVA is still keeping its early action option. Hence, applicants will have three application options at UVA including the regular decision option. Once again, the application deadline for EA will be November 1 and the notification deadline will be January 1. And, just to be clear, early action is not binding.
As we explained in the video we released earlier this week, early decisions are binding. Therefore, please be certain that the ED application is for your top-choice school. If you are uncertain about which school you most want to attend, simply forego the ED option.
