The University of Virginia announced that 1,109 applicants in the early decision round were admitted for its Class of 2026. The number of first-generation admits increased 68% just from last year.
Nearly 3,500 ED applications were received this fall and the in-state ED acceptance rate was 37.8%. The out-of-state acceptance rate was 25.1% and the overall acceptance rate was 32%.
The non-binding early action (EA) applicants will be notified of their decisions in mid February and regular decision applicants who have a January 1 deadline will be notified of their decisions by April 1.
