William & Mary received a record 14,670 applications for its Class of 2023. (Actually, this was a very small increase over the 14,644 applications for its Class of 2022.) While the school didn’t give out much information, it made “over 5,000” admissions offers. Furthermore, it expects the Class of 2023 to number 1,540. This is about the same as last year’s 1,545 enrollees. Clearly, the school will not be growing its class size again this year after some growth earlier in the decade.
Here are the statistics for the admitted students. Please keep in mind these could differ from the statistics of the enrolled students in the fall:
- 88% were in the top 10% of their high school class
- The median SAT score is 1470
- The median ACT score is 33
