Purdue University announced it is increasing the minimum annual pay to its graduate student workers to $26,000. This represents a roughly $2,000 increase but it’s not enough for the graduate student workers who are demanding $35,000. There is also concern that all graduate school student workers should be paid equally on the idea that they all do the same work whether it’s for the engineering department or a liberal arts program.
