The ABA’s Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar ruled Florida Coastal School of Law is out of compliance with two sections of Standard 202. Both Standard 202(a) and Standard 202(d), require law schools have the financial resources to provide legal educations in compliance with ABA standards. Additionally, the ABA denied the school’s application to convert to a nonprofit law school.
Florida Coastal School of Law raised its first-time Florida bar passage to 71% for July 2019 from 62.5% the previous July. While its average GPA remained the same at 3.36, its LSAT percentiles dropped a bit.
