In Accreditation

Florida Coastal School of Law can breathe a huge sigh of relief. The ABA found the school to be in full compliance with its admissions standards. Consequently, graduates will have little trouble sitting for any state bar exam.

For the record, we’re happy for Florida Coastal. The school has worked hard and done a lot of great things. The fact it doesn’t have to worry about posting public notices on its website about accreditation issues is, undoubtedly, a huge blessing.

However, we hope this serves as a cautionary tale for prospective applicants. Please understand that if your school is ranked low, there is a credible chance it could run into accreditation issues. Furthermore, not all schools are able to recover from this predicament like Florida Coastal just did.
