2019 AIGAC MBA Applicant Survey
Earlier today, the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants (AIGAC) released its 2019 MBA Applicant Survey. Even in today’s digital world, MBA applicants appreciated personal conversations with current students. These prized interactions helped them finalize their school selections and choose from multiple offers.
Sadly, fewer applicants wrote their own letters of reference. Yes, the LORs are more standardized. However, these reference letters are key to tying various aspects of your application together. Maintaining control over these letters whenever possible can be an even bigger advantage today.
Perhaps most surprisingly, the average applicant applied to 4.5 b-schools this year, up from 3.8 last year. That’s an 18.4% increase. We didn’t see that one coming!
