Darden Received Record $68 Million Gift
The University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business received a $68 million gift earlier today. The donation from investor and alum Frank M. Sands, Sr. is the largest in the business school’s history. Additionally, Dean Scott Beardsley noted that this gift will close out a second record year of giving for Darden.
The gift will fund an endowment for the Sands Institute for Lifelong Learning and a professorship fund. Finally, it will help build the new UVa Inn at Darden and Conference Center for Lifelong Learning in Charlottesville and renovate the C. Ray Smith Alumni Hall.
