Over Two-Thirds of Business Schools See Applications Rise

In Business School Selection, International Business Schools, Rankings

The Graduate Management Admission Council reported that over two-thirds of graduate business schools reported increases in applications for the Fall 2020 matriculating class. This breaks down to 57% of Asian business schools, 72% of European business schools, and 67% of American business schools. For comparison, 40% of business schools reported application increases the previous year.

While this news was not at all surprising, it does give an additional quantitative element to the story of increased interest in the MBA degree during the pandemic. And, as we’ve previously reported, we expect this trend to continue through this current MBA application season.
