2020 Canadian Medical School Rankings

Macleans published its 2020 Canadian medical school rankings.

Macleans published its 2020 Canadian medical school rankings earlier this week. While the MacLeans rankings don’t receive the same hype as the US News & World Report medical school rankings receive stateside, they are considered very authoritative on the subject.

Macleans also has highly respected rankings of Canadian undergraduate programs. But, back to the medical school rankings, if you’re not familiar with the Macleans rankings system, it is comprised of student satisfaction and reputational survey.

There wasn’t much movement at the top of the rankings this year. For perspective, last year there was a two-way tie at first place for McGill and Toronto.

The top five Canadian medical schools for this year are:

  1. McGill
  2. Toronto
  3. UBC
  4. McMaster
  5. Alberta and Queens (tied for fifth)

Also in the top five, UBC, McMaster and Queens remained ranked third, fourth and fifth again this year. Alberta moved up from sixth into the fifth place tie.
