Queens University (QUB) will admit 80 additional students after the Irish government announced funding for those additional seats. The purpose behind this is to increase the number of physicians in Ireland and to address the “years before doctors shortfall.” This decision has nothing to do with the current pandemic despite some articles in the mainstream media that seem to indicate otherwise.
