Well, that didn’t take long. Within 24 hours of the news that the ACP wanted the MCAT waived for 2021 applicants, the AAMC has released an open letter explaining why it opposes that idea. The bottom line is please continue prepping for the MCAT if you are applying to medical school either this year or the following. (If you are a freshman or sophomore, it probably makes more sense to put your effort into your courses which will serve as the building blocks of success for the knowledge-based MCAT test.
