
Yale SOM is now offering a one-year master’s program in asset management.
The first group of students are slated to enter this new program in Fall 2020 and the application is already available. The application includes essays about future career goals. Applicants are expected possess a strong quantitative background as well as a few years of work experience. Applicants with a solid foundation in statistical analysis and coding languages (think R and Python) are also highly preferred.
Anjani Jain, the deputy dean of academic programs at the SOM explained, “Yale SOM and Yale Investments Office have an extraordinary legacy of educating a large number of the most successful asset managers including chief investment officers of university endowments and philanthropic foundations. The MMS program in asset management will not only provide rigorous professional education for future industry leaders, it will create opportunities for greater interaction among academic scholars and leading practitioners.”
