Forbes announced that they will not be publishing an MBA ranking again this year. They were releasing rankings every other year with their last business school rankings being published in 2019. In 2019, Chicago Booth achieved its only top ranking by Forbes. This follows the announcement by the Economist that it will no longer publish business school rankings.
These two publications may very well reverse their decisions and begin publishing annual MBA rankings at some future point. But, at least for now, there does not appear to be the market interest and financial incentive to do so.
Hopefully, this will not cause any school selection issues for MBA applicants. As we have been consistently stating over the years, find the business school that’s the best fit for you and don’t fall for any current ranking hype.
