In College Admissions Scandal

Felicity Huffman was sentenced to 14 days of prison time for her role in the college admissions scandal that has dominated news headlines for the past six months. She was also fined $30,000, placed on a one-year probation and must perform 250 hours of community service. The prosecutor had sought one month in jail and a $20,000 fine.

Felicity was the first of the 51 defendants to be sentenced and she did plead guilty. While most of us will never know for sure, it certainly appears that her willingness to plead guilty reduced the sentence she received. The press and much of the general public seems to be obsessed with Lori Loughlin. Time will tell what sentence she may receive for her alleged role in the same scandal.
